Who’s the chubby guy in the mirror??
I’m a former triathlete getting back into the sport. I’ve done a couple Ironman’s, 3 1/2 IM’s, several Olympic distance tris and numerous running races, including 4 marathons. Marathon PB of 3:08 and ironman PB of 11:13, which means nothing now except I have a pretty good engine buried under the layer of adipose tissue that’s accumulated over the past 6 years.
Weight in 1998: 178. Weight at start of program (Sept.27) 227.5. Therefore, Priority 1 is getting weight within shouting distance of 200 before doing any serious training. Until then, focus is on healthy diet and consistant exercise….
As a marker, I am committing myself to the Wildflower Triathlon on May 7.
The purpose of this blog is to document my journey back into a healthier lifestyle and into triathlon.
